Faith over Fear

What ifs can cause you fear quickly, especially with raising kids. This can be sending them to day care, school or leaving the nest. It can also cause you to spiral into gloom and doom on a daily basis if you choose to let it control you.

You can sit and create the what if outcome or the what if scenario in your head of something you have no control of. And then when it actually happens (or doesn’t happen) it was nowhere near your crazy thoughts.

So when you start down that rabbit trail of what if’s speak words out loud to break the constant worry or fear.

Choose a bible verse that gives you strength and courage. Claim and say it.

Isaiah 41:10 Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.

Learning to walk in faith takes you choosing to trust the promises of God. It takes you digging deeper into the word of God, to know Him, His promises to you and His words to help you put fear under your feet.

Angela Thomas-Pharr gave an easy explanation of faith: Knowledge +conviction+trust=FAITH

Romans 10:17 NLT- So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ.

Romans 10:8-10 (NLT) In fact, it says, “The message is very close at hand; it is on your lips and in your heart.” And that message is the very message about faith that we preach: If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.

It takes you learning scriptures, praying, giving thanks, connecting with people of maturity in their own relationship with Christ to guide you and it takes you trusting God with the difficulties in your world.

Living in the EVEN If means you will trust God in all seasons of your life. Even when you can not see what will be happening in the future you remain with joy and peace knowing your God is in control of your life.

I choose not to live in fear. I choose faith.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

If you don’t know where to start, start by connecting with me or your local church.
