Finding Faith in Chaos

Everyone handles chaos, stress and life in different ways. You have the ones that are cool as a cucumber and you have the ones that you want to tie up or slap. I have never been in that type of situation, but the movie “Armageddon”, from 1998 comes to mind. Remember the scene when Rockhound (Steve Buscemi) lost his mind and went a little crazy trying to blow them all up, as Bruce Willis and Ben Affleck tried to save the world? They had to tie him up so they could take care of business.

So how do you let go of the control in the middle of your chaos and just be. It starts with faith. Faith is hard at times.

If I could see you.

If I could just hear you.

If I could give you a hug.

I would know you are here.

THIS WOULD NOT BE FAITH.

Hebrew 11:1 Good News Bible- To have faith is to be sure of the things we hope for, to be certain of the things we cannot see.

Letting go of your control in times of struggle is when you see the promises of God and your faith grows. Knowing He will provide your every need as Phillipians 4:19 tells us.

It is when you realize you don’t have money for your lights and you get a refund check in the mail that covers it.

Even more amazing when you get devastating news on your cell phone in the middle of a public place and the stranger beside you is not hesitating to ask if you are ok and begins praying with you. Even offering to wait with you till your family can come get you. This is God taking care of you. He is putting people in your life at the exact time you need them, even if it is someone you do not know.

When you feel you can longer battle – BREATHE IN——–now EXHALE and lean into your Father’s arm.

Everytime you allow for God to take control your are filled with increased strength, peace, joy, wisdom, and FAITH. You are no longer fixating on what you can see, but you are focusing on the unseen. God and your eternal life.

2 Corinthians 4:18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Your struggles in life are there to help your faith become stronger and give you endurance to finish this amazing thing called life.
