No More Rabbit Trails

I am the type of person that gets bored with purses, mowing the grass the same way each week and tedious tasks that are monotonous.  I am classifying myself as creative and energetic. LOL

I am listening to Dear Evan Hansen, by Val Emmich,  our monthly book for my book club. This statement jumped out at me:

“If you take short cuts you lose the trail you’re on.”

The reason I tell you this is because knowing there are so many different weight loss and diet programs out there it is overwhelming.  You can get lost, confused and frustrated with what to do, so then you don’t do anything, or you are trying to do too much.

Constantly jumping to the next best thing that will work for losing weight or a quick fix has been my M.O. with weight loss.

  It was not until I began coaching healthy plate as an ACE certified coach and working with changing behavior did, I start to understand change is going to come when someone is mentally ready.  

I was ready! I needed to lower my blood pressure before my doctor put me on blood pressure meds and I was pre-diabetic.

What I was doing was not working. I was eating healthy, but undereating and working out with no results.  My energy level was crashing at 2pm-3pm, which led to increasing my caffiene and sugary creamers, plus treats.

Once I found the FASTer Way To Fat Loss and started implementing intermittent fasting and carb cycling into my healthy whole food plate the fat started melting off. 

There is so much more to this program than the fat loss.  You can see the physical change but what you can’t see is the mental change.  It is the mental clarity and changing your mindset to progress over perfection and losing the all of nothing attitude that has been a game changer. 

This mental shift has given me a exhilarated feeling of strength, peace, wellbeing, and freedom of not being tied to a scale or “diet”. 

I have been living the FASTer Way for 1 year and 1 month now and I can not begin to tell you how much easier it is mentally when you don’t feel like you are on a diet. 

Still having the same feeling today that I had at the beginning of the program is what is so rewarding.  No more rabbit trails!  

The FASTer Way changes enough with the workouts and food that I do not get bored.  I have a program that is simple and laid out for me to follow for the rest of my life, even with special events, parties, vacations and holidays.

I’m on the right – This is only 7 months. I started Sept 2018 wtih the FWTFL!!!
